Kanchi Periyavas visit Mopi Devi and Tekupalli villages in Krishna District!





















His Holiness Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal & His Holiness Pujya Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal visited Subrahmanya Swamy Temple in Mopi Devi town. The entourage left from Srimatam camp in Vijayawada at 3:30pm and reached the town in about one and quarter hours.
The town is located at a distance of about 45 kms from Vijayawada. The road from Vijayawada to the town was very picturesque. All along the route there was the main Krishna river on the right side and Krishna Canal on the left side of the road and surrounded by expansive agriculture fields and fresh green trees. The climate was extremely pleasant.
Kanchi Acharyas were received by Temple Archakas, Temple officials led by Deputy Speaker Shri Buddha Prasad Garu. Pujas were performed at the main shrine by His Holiness. Acharya Sanmanam was held in the main mandapam.
His Holiness Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal in His Anugraha Bhashanam stressed the need for devotees to visit temples especially in their own villages & towns. His Holiness later returned to Vijayawada to perform the third Kala Puja.
Visit to Tekupalli VIllage:
His Holiness Pujya Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal proceeded another 5 kms to grace Bala Parvathi Sametha Rameshwaraya Swami Temple at Tekupalli village. The village was earlier graced by Shri Periyava. His Holiness was received at the entrance of the village near the Ramalayam and taken in procession. His Holiness was received by devotees led by Shri Vempaty Kutumba Shastry, Shri Addepalli Sastry & Shri Neelalohita. His Holiness performed Harathis in the shrines and delivered Anugraha Bhashanam. Village residents sought the blessings of His Holiness. His Holiness then left for Srimatam camp at Vijayawada and reached by 9 PM.
