Their Holinesses Pujya Shankaracharya Swamigals of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham left from Poranki camp in the evening on 17th October. Pujya Acharyas visited Veda Pathashala run by Kanaka Durga Devasthanam and performed Vruksharopanam Karyakrama in the campus. Then the entourage left for Suryapet. Devotees from Vijayawada followed His Holiness till Ibrahimpattinam and took leave.
The entourage arrived at 7:30 PM. The reception meeting was held by Suryapet Brahmana Sabha in the Brahmana Sabha building. The people were very enthusiastic to receive Kanchi Acharyas after a long time in the newly carved Telangana State.
In their Anugrahabhashanam, Pujya Acharyas told the need to uphold values of Hindu Dharma. His Holiness also recollected the long association of Kanchi Peetham with the region starting from the Chaturmasya of 1967-1968 at Hyderabad, visits to Manthanai, Dharmapuri, Siddhipeta, Basara, Vargal etc. His Holiness blessed the gathering,

His Holiness Shri Periyava visited Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple & Shivalayam. His Holiness Bala Periyava visited an ancient Narasimhaswamy Temple in Vondragonda Hills about 12 kms from Suryapet town.
Periyavas camp left Suryapet (120 kms from Secunderabad) and reached Skandagiri Temple in Secunderabad in the evening of October 19th, 2016!
